About Redcard.
Redcard exists because existing football apps get between you and the answer to "how's my team doing?". We made ours different.
Why we exist
The star metric is time-to-answer: how long from opening the app to seeing the score. Promiedos (~2020) taught us that number is everything. The rest — news, analysis, aggressive marketing, mandatory sign-up — is noise that pulls the user away from their goal.
What makes Redcard different
- No compulsory sign-up. Open the app and you already see football. The account is optional.
- No programmatic adverts. No tracking, no retargeting. The app is sustained by donations and Plus.
- Privacy first. We collect the minimum data. Never sold.
- One person, one device. One account per device. No switching.
- Honest about money. We don't sell data, we don't run adverts. The infrastructure (Vercel, Neon, the data provider) costs real money — if you like Redcard, donate or subscribe to Plus.
Who's behind it
Redcard is run by Gonzalo Yacante, a full-stack developer. Based in Buenos Aires, a Racing supporter, who one day got tired of football apps making him wait.
Business model
Free includes the whole product. Plus (monthly/annual subscription) removes adverts. Donations bump your cosmetic tier (Bronze / Silver / Gold / Platinum) and give you Plus for free while the period lasts. There are no functional features behind a paywall. That won't change. It's in our privacy policy.
How to contribute
The source code is private — we don't accept external contributions. The infrastructure costs money: if you like Redcard, you can support us with a donation or subscribe to Plus. Bug reports and security alerts: security@redcard.pro.
